Story

The Providence is a 12-gun, 110′ sloop-of-war, which is a full-scale replica of the Continental Navy’s first warship. The mission of the Tall Ship Providence Foundation is to promote the rich maritime, naval, and American Revolutionary War history in Alexandria, Virginia and the Chesapeake Bay region. It is our vision to facilitate and host educational programs and events through our ship in order to bring a very interesting piece of history to life.
